Mathematics
Primary 3–6 Mathematics
Our Math Programme focuses on building strong fundamentals from the very beginning. We recognize the “forgetting curve” theory, which suggests that students tend to forget what they’ve learned if it’s not revisited regularly. One of our strengths is providing timely and consistent opportunities for students to revisit concepts and skills. Additionally, we customize our worksheets based on gaps identified through quizzes and checkpoints to ensure these gaps are addressed before moving on to new material.
With a solid foundation in place, our lessons gradually introduce students to higher-order thinking and challenging problems in an exam-oriented style. This approach helps students prepare effectively for their upcoming assessments.
The INSECT Method for
Solving Word Problems
The INSECT approach is designed to guide students in their thought process when solving word problems. It provides a structured method for breaking down questions, identifying concepts through clues, employing various strategies, and presenting information in a way that suggests the next step. Finally, the approach emphasizes the importance of checking answers to minimize errors.
